Alan (The Lone Librarian) Teder Thanks for the shoutout Linda! Nice to know that authors are not forgotten!

message 2: by Jill (new)

Jill Hutchinson Woolrich wrote some of the darkest >i>noir>i> books I have ever read. He also wrote under the name of William Irish. He does not deserve to be forgotten as he was a master of the noir art.

He wrote Rear Window which was one of Hitchkocks's finest movie adaptations.

Thanks for jogging my memory.

message 5: by Fionnuala (new)

Fionnuala Isn't it such a pleasure to be reminded of a book we'd completely forgotten until someone throws out an author's name or a title? I would love to be reminded of the many books I read when I was younger and before Goodreads— I skipped the 'add books' function when I joined twelve years ago, deciding to add only books I would read from then on...maybe I should go back and fill those earlier shelves...

Linda If you think of them or are reminded of them, why not add them?
