it was ok

1.5 ⭐️
This began as a 5⭐️ read. When I was on the first pages I thought there would be no way in hell this ended up being LESS than 4 ⭐️..

But now here I am, giving it 2 ⭐️ ( although it deserves a 1 )

There is one thing I despise in my books, and that is when I'm deceived? Tricked? I think that's the word.

I went into this book because of the premise : fake dating and the male protagonist being a vampire.

For the first 50 -90 pages, the premise hold and the story picked up very quickly.

But then.. WTF???

The fake dating aspect took a VERY secundary role, and the preparations for a ball Emma needed to organize for her coven was the central plot.
I can deal with inta love. I don't have any problems with that, but this was insta love as a SUBPLOT.
I really couldn't care less about the fucking ball preparations and ANOTHER subplot that involved ghosts and mystery..

The story at this point was all over the place, ghosts the ball, the coven, the inexistently fake dating trope ..whatever..

But what I hated the most is how this book tricked me about Alaric being a vampire.😠

I went into this expecting some vampire action..fangs, blood ..ok I get this is a cozy book but you can add vampire foreplay and specially if you are writting a dual pov story

THERE WAS NOTHING. THE GUY WAS A VAMPIRE ONLY BECAUSE HE SAID HE WAS ONE.‼️‼️‼️
The ONLY mention of his vampireness was that he drinks blood with his liquor. NOTHING MORE.❗️

TF ??? The title says " how to fake date A VAMPIRE"

I feel deceived. 😠

Anyway, if you are looking for a cozy story about witches with a very SECUNDARY fake dating romance subplot with a fake vampire ( although pretty good specimen of a man ) this book is for you

What's thr point of a VAMPIRE romance novel if the guy doesn't act like a vampire or doesn't even wants to bite her ??

I'm feeling confused and deceived 😠"

Andrea ☾ (is literally so busy she can't keep up w anythg) omg I feel so seen!! Totally agree with this whole review. Also, why have a vampire that's basically a human?? It made zero sense!
