A Not So Fictional Fall (Cataloochee Coffee Shop Romances, #1; Sweater Weather, #6)

So, my major issue with this book is that the MMC...okay, it's twofold. He's so aware of how women write men that it becomes so extra clear that he is written by a woman, which can go both ways--I guess--but it went thumbs down for me. And the second was that, and I could be wrong, but it was so excruciatingly clear that what was being written was not being written by a french person, like it was clearly an american author cosplaying as a french person and again--that could go two ways and a lot of people clearly enjoy it, but it seriously was nails on a chalkboard for me. It was...I dunno. it almost felt like it belonged in a kids in the hall sketch at times, and...it wasn't supposed to be satirical comedy?
Clearly tons of people enjoy this book but it was not for me--this whole series was really hit or miss for me, in the end.
