Didn’t love this one…I was looking for a short-ish audiobook on hoopla and landed on this one mostly because I wanted to give a holiday book a chance. Unfortunately, I just found this pretty boring, the main character unlikeable and the romance extremely lackluster with no tension or buildup. There are a ton of townsfolk added in to spice things up but I just found it all very cliche and predictable. The main character I found to be pretty stuck up and annoying. More than one person said to her “I don’t understand what an amazing person like you is doing in a hick town like this”… I didn’t even like the main characters dog, pumpkin, because in the audiobook it’s always pronounced “pun-kin” and idk why cause she’s not from the south so it was just annoying 😂 haha anyway this wasn’t horrible it was just not for me. Sigh. I don’t think I’ll be finding a good holiday book this year lol.
