#AlldayAspen had me glued to the pages. When a momfluencer's carefully curated life on TikTok starts to crack, be prepared for the fallout.

Aspen Palmer and Meredith Lee are besties for life until the apprentice (Aspen) and her millions of followers overshadow the teacher (Meredith). As the book begins, the two are estranged and things are going to get ugly.

Jesse Q. Sutanto has given us a brilliant satire on the current obsession with influencers. We see Aspen and Meredith (and others) networking and collaborating in that never-ending quest for likes and followers. It's a hamster wheel that never stops.

If you are looking for likable characters in this one, it will probably just be the children. It is heartbreaking to think of their lives being full of curated posts and "helping" mommy share with her followers.

I am giving this one all the stars as I was glued to those pages through a day of travelling in central Latvia. Stayed up past my bedtime just to finish and it was worth it!

This is my favorite book from Jesse Q. Sutanto since Dial A for Aunties. Definitely recommend it, Esta! 🥰

Definitely not YA, Jayme. You should try this one. My favorite by the author since the first Aunties book.🥰

Dusk Sounds like a sharp dive into the darker side of social media fame and its consequences. It’s no surprise that in such a plot, the likable characters are likely limited to kids or animals. The fact that it kept you hooked even while traveling is fascinating. Thanks for sharing your enthusiastic review, Darla!

You described the book well, Dusk. Definitely not a light, fluffy read. Very compelling and shines a mirror on our addiction to social media.

Thibault Busschots A perfect life on TikTok can easily show cracks in real life, so the concept looks really good. Also seems like a good example of how unlikeable characters can still be interesting. Good review, Darla.

That's the beauty of this read. This app gets the majority of my social media time. Hardly do anything on Insta and not on TikTok at all. Reading about the apps in this book makes me glad to continue abstaining. Fascinating look behind the scenes!

Thank you, Constantine. My social media imprint is biggest on Goodreads. Just tip my toe into Facebook and Instagram and can count my insta followers on two hands. Lol. I loved this book as it skewers the influencers with the huge platforms.
