The premise of this series really interested me, three separate books focused on romance but set in a fantasy world seemed like a lot of fun. For the most part, I really enjoyed this first book. I felt like it was a little slow at times, but overall I think it balanced the romance and fantasy pretty well. I also liked how it ended a lot, I'm very curious to see what the other books are like.
