didn’t connect to the characters, their love/story, the writing, and the pacing.
skimmed the last 40% and was completely disinterested in the ending as well. felt like the development between the characters reuniting after being separated for 10 years progressed at warp speed which completely took me out of their relationship and made it not believable for me. needed more depth between them for a second chance romance.

yes, it’s my fav trope ever, especially when it’s childhood best friends, but wow not to be mean, but i hated this. 😭 the writing just wasn’t working for me—felt jarring, the pacing of everything was so quick, and i feel bc of that we don’t get enough time to learn the characters and discover the depth between them to a deeper level, nor learn their past and present well enough to connect with them fully, which left me completely disinterested.
i truly don’t think you would like this one either and with you not having luck with this trope, this would honestly be another let down for you imo. 🥲
