M.J. O'Shea, you sweet, magical lady. Thank you for giving me a book to FINALLY make me smile this week!
This book had my name all over it. I mean, we have virgins, man, VIRGINS! And lots of angsty, lovey goodness to boot. It was just what I needed after a seemingly never-ending book slump.
I'll admit, I wasn't that impressed with the start of the story. The set up of the band seemed improbable and rushed, and I felt like everything was coming together a bit awkwardly. However, once the story got rockin' and rollin' it was smooth sailing for me!
Everyone has their own book tastes and I tend to enjoy lengthy stories with peppered with liberal amounts of sex and angst. This one was a bit low on the sex side (but I'll forgive it because these boys were practically YA-range) but the length and the delicious emotions that it wrung out of me was spot on. I really got into the romance between Elliot and Danny and I loved experiencing their ups and downs alongside them. It reminded me a lot of a mash-up between Moonlight Becomes You and The Locker Room ---> HEAVEN.
My only complaints are the slightly unrealistic nature of the band (I mean, did they ever not get along??), the low heat level, and the shaky start. However, these minor issues don't take away from the fact that I enjoyed the heck out of this book. ::blissful sigh::

It is much more YA than Moonlight Becomes You (which I adored, BTW). I think I would have liked it more if it was adult but it was a really nice read. If you don't like YA I might skip it, though. There isn't much sex and it reads young at times.
I had a great time BR-ing! It also got me to read a book that got buried in the pile! Let's do another one next month!

Yeah it's based on them. What's funny is things like Elliot getting jealous with the food bit happened. There is video of it! I am such a sucker for Louis and Harry now. I am aboard that ship 100%! My gf and I went through many Tumblr sites about the boys and found so many scenes from the book that made it so fun to go over again.
This one he says "Hold a conversation with "him" at 3:53 and This one he almost says "my boyfriend" and that starts around 10:50. Harry's face is priceless!

YAY! I check the Tumblr blogs daily to see what is up with those boys. The beard deal is so true and we haven't seen Eleanor with Louis in FOREVER! Hopefully their contract with Modest is up soon so they can come out already. I heart those two and it's just nuts. You have to see their matching/coinciding tattoos! OMG! Just kill me why don't you, boys?

Me too! That is how I feel when I read her books and I blame her for my obsession with those two! All those looks are done to this day by the way. They are just not as often and that's sad. Those boys are totally still together!
