Honestly, I really appreciate that Laura Ingalls Wilder takes the time to write about her husband's childhood as well. It is a really nice comparison to how her family lived and how Almanzo's family lived. His family is who I would classify as the American middle class at the time and I would say Laura's was lower middle class if not in the poorer range. Its just neat to see she took the time to write his experience as a child showing different perspectives to 19th century America.
Now I can't wait to get my favorite novel of the series which is next!
