it was ok
bookshelves: angsty, drama, ku

****Caution: news of rape of 2ndary female character****

Surrey, then London 1819. 2.5 stars.

I liked Sebastion as the brother in bk #1 of this series.
This had too much drama and love too-soon. Seb was
intrigued by Hermoine. Much later Seb saw Hermione
do something odd & he followed her.

Hermione carried too much responsibility for her family
who resided in the country. Her witchy aunty sponsored
a season for her in London. Aunty suggested a scheme.
Aunty needed a rubber room. The FMC's younger bro
needed a time-out in the worst way.

Sorry IMO this was a let-down. Seb was more mature
than this story indicated. Intelligent Seb needed to
piece together the clues his beloved gave him over
and over. MCs deserved a better story.

One positive : we saw Emmaline & Drake & they learned
of a 2nd baby.
