I'm not gonna lie, I seriously thought about dnf'ing this one after the second chapter.

Listen, one can be overly sassy and Romily was definitely leaning hard into annoying for the first 25% of this book.

But I kept going, because despite it being only a one pov story, I love the world building. Don't be turned off by the blurbs and cover, this series has a deep and ever changing world.

In this one, Romily gets into situations, as he does, adopts more people into the Foxily family, and literally changes the world.

If the entire book was as good as the last 75%, then this would have been a 5 star review.

However, you do have to read each book in order to understand what's going on. This is not a standalone story.
