So in here we have Kiran, a very clumsy cursed swan shifter. He finds a coupon for dancing lessons and finds himself in Taj the demon minion dance studio. Poor Taj just wants to live free, but his former owner has been hurting him financially and blackmail him into finishing putting the curse on the correct person.
Of course love wins out when you are fated mates.
This one was low steam, just a couple of kisses, but you could feel the connection between them.
I would love a longer story with these two.

This is a very short story, told in a single pov chock filled with squirrel humor and sexytimes.
Nathan has had a crush on Vincent from the moment Vince showed up at the store he worked at. He has also been perving on Vince in squirrel form for ages.
Not knowing that the squirrel was a shifter, Vince threw a shoe and knocked Nathan right out of the tree. This is how the sexytimes started and yall, I died laughing during that whole bit.
If nothing else, read this for all the squirrel commentary, it was awesome.

Firstly, this is a nOk look, I picked this up on a whim. The blurb said it was gonna be a harem romance and we all know I cannot resist that many m's.
Firstly, this is a new to me writer and I loved the writing style. It was great and each mc was different.
Secondly, I loved Kit, James, Bishop, and Darius. They made getting to the end of this extremely long story worth it. I didn't like Holden at all. Not even by the end.
Thirdly, this was an actual dark romance.
Fourthly, I liked that Bishop ending.
Now onto my only complaint for this one.
This was too long. I know this was a kindle vella story first and you can actually see that in the writing and weird editing of the chapters, but it needed to be cut down a lot.
I kind of lost steam for the story near the middle, but finished just because I needed to know how this one ended. ...more

But omg, I thought I disliked Sterling in book 4 when I read it, but I hated him in here.
Basically this is a retread of a twink with a disability finding his murder mate and gathering his family.
I'm not gonna lie, I seriously thought about dnf'ing this one after the second chapter.

I'm not gonna lie, I seriously thought about dnf'ing this one after the second chapter.
Listen, one can be overly sassy and Romily was definitely leaning hard into annoying for the first 25% of this book.
But I kept going, because despite it being only a one pov story, I love the world building. Don't be turned off by the blurbs and cover, this series has a deep and ever changing world.
In this one, Romily gets into situations, as he does, adopts more people into the Foxily family, and literally changes the world.
If the entire book was as good as the last 75%, then this would have been a 5 star review.
However, you do have to read each book in order to understand what's going on. This is not a standalone story....more

I loved Jalen, Colby, and Andreas. They were so cute that I wanted to squeeze them and keep them safe.
I really love one Daddy and 2 boys and this was done well.
Until the end.
Ok, not gonna lie, I was not exactly happy with how it was resolved to keep Jalen in the country and the epilogue. I know it probably had to be this way, but eh.

First off, I want to say I absolutely loved this. While not totally a standalone series (knowing about how Tristan visited the hotel and all that will give you more details) - one can absolutely read this and get what is happening.
Second off, Ellis and Morgan worked wonderfully. I was hoping it was not going to be just retread of the dynamic of the first two couples in the series and while similar, they had enough differences to make me happy.
Third off, the ghosts were awesome. Each had their own personality and while I wish we did not have to have so many descriptions of them each time a fleshie saw them, they were great. They also got their own POVs, just like Dusty did.
Fourth off, the hotel was its own character. Without it, there would not need to be a series.
Fifth off, I inhaled this story. I could not make myself slow down, even when the goodbye scene happened and made me teary.
My only nitpick were the many descriptions of the ghosts. I mean, it seemed to happen every other paragraph.
I cant wait to meet the brother. He seemed awesome. ...more

Ok so in here we have Atticus. He is obsessed with a camboy, Calix. He pays for private time with Calix and stalks him in real life.
Slight spoiler (view spoiler)[ Atticus finds out who Calix is by getting the DNA results from a pair of used panties (hide spoiler)]
During this time, Calix is seriously crushing on the mysterious benefactor. He gets sick and Atticus sends him a care package to his home address and Calix is all, "this is so sweet!"
Anyways, Calix decides to work on his camboy brand and hires the best person he can afford. Unbeknownst to him, its Atticus.
Ok, the whole meeting with Atticus and Calix about the branding had me rolling my eyes, cause there is no way you could not tell that the man you spend hours with online is the same person you just hired. It's not like he used anything to change his voice.
Outside of that, this was just really sweet and not as dark as I was expecting.

Then the book ends.

If this keeps up, I may not be reviewing so many books like I have been. I need to review as soon as I am done so that I dont forget the details.
Second off, I really wanted to love this book. But I didnt. I really enjoyed the first like third of the story and then it just went dull. Wielding magic did not make this more exciting.
Slight Spoilers ahead...
Third off, holey age gap batman. If you have read the blurb and any reviews then you know that this is about a magic vampire who was waiting for over a hundred years for his dead husband to be reincarnated. Well, he finds him but the dude is only 20. I also had issues with how innocent this dude was. He literally never kissed nor touched another person cause as soon as it was legal, the ex? former? whatever husband vamp was right there. I get it, there are people who say that would be cheating but poor Gun DID NOT KNOW THAT HE WAS REINCARNATED.
I did not feel like there was a connection between Kit and Gun, after they meet. It was like Kit just expected to have his husband again.
Fourthly, the magical library. It could have been a great way to have a series built around, but eh, it was boring really.
Fifthly, the AI education one is supposed to get with this one. Like OMG, if I had to read one more time about ethically using AI. I am not sure if this book was written with AI, but it would not shock me if it was. The pro AI bias was strong in this one.
Sixthly, the detailed details about each thing done in this book was overly detailed. Do I need to know he put a teaspoon full of grapes in his oatmeal along with the million other things? No I did not. And so many times Gun was described with all his fancy and expensive life modes. My goodness, we get it, he was born rich and does not need to worry about bills. He was in college, lived with all his siblings and parents in a huge house with a pool, had his fancy skin routine, and his parents apparently were able to come home and have dinner every evening. Remember the detailed details? Yep, it infected every sentence.
I tossed in a tablespoon each of yogurt, quartered green seedless grapes, strawberry chunks, flax seeds, chopped pecans, pumpkin seeds, chia seeds, hemp, and honey, plus two of chocolate protein powder. Mixing it up with a splash of milk after the oatmeal was no longer nuclear always looked gross, but it tasted so good and felt great on an empty, angry belly. And after last night, I needed the protein and carbs… and the comfort.
So to end this, it was an alright read. Not the best, but not the worst, except for the pro AI stance....more

I am actually unsure of how to review this one.
On the one hand, Alice Winters is back to writing funny stuff again.
On the other hand, I think it really needed someone to keep the story straight.
On the third hand (don't judge), it was like getting a Leland/Leland pairing, which I kind of liked but did not love.
Spoilers ahead
So in the one we have Julian, the feisty natural born wolf shifter and Casimir, head vampire of the area.
They decide to work together after attacks happen to both vamps and wolves. The story is confusing, to be honest. These two pretend to date (as Julian's dad was head wolf until vamp daddy took over).
Usually, you get the sassy and strong bottom who falls for an emotionally unavailable until he meets the sass - straight top (see the assassins guide and the vrc series) but in here, the vamp daddy was not all that tough and had a lot of emotional baggage and Julian was not really sassy or tough.
There was also a distinct lack of sexytimes in here. There was literally one oral scene near the beginning, one kiss at page 330, then a short sexytimes scene near the end that was a blink and you could miss it kind of scene. I prefer my stories to have physical touch, but if you give me a strong emotional connection, then I can live without it, but that was not the case here. And there was a statement by Julian about how this kiss was different than anything they did before because of emotions but there literally wasn't anything happening before then.
Its like maybe chunks of story were missing.
Which is why this only got 4 stars. It did make me laugh, but it could have been five had these two actually been portrayed as falling in love.
I will say that I can't wait til the audio, some of the scenes definitely will be better spoken aloud....more

Ok, first off, I will admit to being a super fan of both of these writers so when I heard of this collab, I jumped at getting it.
Lets be honest right at the stop, I don't think this was written smoothly enough. Some chapters read really good, then another would take me out of the story.
Why the 4 stars then? I got into the overarching story. That was good enough for me to keep going.
Also, this has a sheath which I love when it comes to aliens and shifters and other beings.
Jeremiah and Remi worked mostly, but I really did not like Remi.
Also, the ending on a cliffhanger was awful. I have dropped series for doing just that....more

Yall, I was not expecting to fall in love so quickly but here we are.
Slight spoilers ahead
In here we have a very old mage named Nigel. He's not only old, but mean, grumpy, and British. He gets called out of retirement to help the NY dept of magic solve a crime that involves the killing of mages and removing specific body parts.
Oh yea, Jayda went dark, and it was glorious. Not gonna lie, I think this is the best writing Jayda has done and they've written a heck of a lot. There is a bit of blood and gore but to me it wasn't enough to really creep anyone out. I mean, its like gore-lite?
Anyways, Nigel meets Milan, who's twin was killed. They were not only brothers but also partners in the magical police force. Milan did not have powers, but was still magical while his twin had actual magic.
After insulting Milan by being his real self, Nigel realizes immediately that Milan is his beloved (fated mate yall) and while Milan didn't know why, he immediately was drawn to him, grumpy pants and all.
I had to think about how to review this as I had some thoughts on this one.

So in here we have Mal, a reaper of souls wI had to think about how to review this as I had some thoughts on this one.
Slight not really spoilers ahead
So in here we have Mal, a reaper of souls who was kind of bored, tbh. He worked in the family business of getting rid of the bodies he and his family reaped through their funeral home.
We also had Jason, whose partner died and he was looking to get him back. With that cheery thought, they meet and eventually start having feelings about each other.
This was a slow burn and not worth the wait, in my opinion.
I really did not like Jason. I mean when you dislike an mc, the book just doesn't hit you right. Jason was just mean and rude at times and his best friend should have kicked him to the curb.
Outside of Jason, I really did like Mal's brother and the hound and would love to know more about them....more

So in this one we have Samuel, the foster kid of Declan and Jeremy from book one and Will, the straight dude who was hit on by Simon from book two. They have become best friends and roommates after Will buys Jeremy's house.
Samuel is young and was invited to Brad's wedding and doesn't want to go as he and Brad were hooking up on the down low until the engagement announcement. Will decided he would be Samuel's boyfriend and they go on a fake date and then cuddle on the couch. Will figures out that he wants Samuel and they decide at the wedding to be a couple.
It was really quick and fast with no angst and I loved it.
There is a 5 year jump in the epilogue and its so sweet.

First off, mind the warnings on this one. Lots of things happen in here and some are on the extreme side.
Spoilers ahead
Let's get the major complaint out of the way first. This is an extremely long book. It took me forever to get through it.
Second, the mistaken identity trope does not work for me when it comes to bdsm. From the moment Dylan showed up at the Drs office, it seemed very much noncon and it felt that way for a long time.
Anyways, in here we have Dylan, the poor college student who was sent to a Dr to get his mole checked out. He meets Dr Wolf, who then does an entire scene in the office while thinking Dylan was the dude he was talking online to. Dr Wolf is married to Lawyer Wolf, and both are immediately into Dylan. While rushing to the Drs office, Dylan literally runs into Cop Wolf who is pissed he didn't get Dylan first.
So in between sex, bdsm scenes, and lots of spooge things happen. Eventually the Alphas figure out that they all want each other as well as Dylan, the secret omega who gets addicted to their cum.
So the politics are resolved, packs created, and these four became a family.
I'm not going to lie, my favorite chapter was the epilogue. It really seemed like they had become a close kinky family....more
