really liked it
bookshelves: broken-hero, celebrity-actor-sport, exhausting-to-read, gay-romance-mm, hoopla, sports, way-to-long

*3.5* Why was this book so loooooong? I usually like stories that take the time to develop characters and mood, but this was too much. My library copy says it is 617 pages, but the Kindle version says it’s just over 532. Either way, this is a very long, drawn out story.

No cheating
Hurt/comfort
The best animal co-characters

I deeply appreciate that 25% of the author’s royalties from this book will be donated to organizations supporting homeless and disabled veterans. This cause is very close to my heart.

RLbooks (in and out) So much of this sounds good, but the too long page count is rough. I also love the donation to those types of charities. Hopefully your next read is a shorter one!

Amina Everytime I think it's time to give this author a try, something reminds me that it's not quite time just yet, esp with a sloooow burn and an exhaustive length. Happy though you still enjoyed it, somewhat, Rain. 🫶🏻🫶🏻

Maggie May All of Witt’s books that I have read have been much longer than the story within them. They have all been great stories, they just need an aggressive edit.

I wasn’t aware this author was known for that, I am now very much aware 😂

len ❀ wow i’m curious but that length is so off putting. 😭 whether it’s 500+ pages or 600+ i have no time and no hockey romance needs to be that long lol. glad you enjoyed it though!
