Just finished this book so let’s talk about it. I have a lot of thoughts.
This book had me intrigued from the very beginning. Anytime there’s an FMC with a mysterious past, hidden powers and she’s a thief…. I’m sold! Kierse was such a strong female lead and I really admired all of her various character traits. She had a lot of depth.
Some other strengths of this book for me were the wide variety of “monsters” including some you would not expect. I also really loved the idea of Celtic lore and fairytales being mixed into the plot. And the romance was very well done with some spicy scenes that made me melt!
This book had a lot of moving pieces to it which I’m not sure they all came together very seamlessly. I got the answers I was looking for in the end but the way they were revealed was a bit clunky. Some of the characters weren’t as flesh out as I wanted them to be and the whole idea of the Monster Treaty was a bit cringy. However, I enjoyed this book enough to want to read the next one.
