Soul, the fourth installment in Joey Hill’s Naughty Wishes serial picks up where part three ended. Samantha, Geoff, and Chris must now learn to navigate the waters of a mutual menage relationship. Geoff and Chris have now gotten some alone time to feel out how their sexuality works. Adding Sam into the mix was bound to be explosive and Joey delivers on all fronts. It’s safe to say that Soul has the most down and dirty sex compared to the other parts. You get every sexual permutation that a m/m/f menage can bring, but all with the underlying emotion that this author does so well. We also get to see this threesome “get out” a bit as an entity, which was entertaining and realistic. I appreciated that this story isn’t tied in a bow at the end. I’m starting to find the “ultra epilogue” a little bit played out. I don’t need to know every little future detail, how many babies they had, etc. I like that while there is a definite HEA, it’s more at the earlier stages of the relationship. Maybe Ms. Hill has more in store for us regarding this couple in the future? Will we see them at parties? I hope so. Chris and Geoff have a very unique relationship, not quite Dom/sub, but not without some level of power exchange. For me, it was the hottest part of the story and I’d love to read more scenes with them. This was a very rewarding serial and not so complex that I couldn’t remember the plot points when it came time to pick up the next installment. Joey Hill continues to be one of my top BDSM authors and I always look forward to what she has coming next.
