Never Been Witched is the third and final tale in the Starfall Point paranormal romance series. This time around, we follow Alice Seastairs, who works for her overbearing, cruel grandparents. Alice has been treated like a waste of space her entire life and didn’t know true love and friendship until meeting Riley and Caroline; however, she’s keeping a secret from them that she feels will destroy that relationship. Then she meets Colin who feels like he just fits.

I have really enjoyed this series and was excited to find out more about Alice. Alice and Colin have been involved in toxic relationships both romantically and with family. I love that there is a lot of focus on both MCs finding their place - getting their world together and realizing what’s important, and how to take care of themselves. They seem to fall fast because *magic* and such, but it’s not blatant and both recognize they need to stand on their own before moving forward. I enjoyed seeing the coven become its best as Alice finally confronts her skeletons.

Never Been Witched brings an exciting end to the trilogy, giving listeners a satisfying conclusion to the mysteries of Shadow House. The story connects all the dots and provides an HFN/HEA not only all six MCs of the series, but to some of the ghostly residents as well. The story is fun but not silly. There is Molly Harper’s trademark sarcasm and wit, which I love. All of the threads are woven together and things that happened earlier in the series are explained.

Narration: The story is shared via the alternating third person POVs of Alice and Colin. Hamilton voices Colin’s POVs. His voice is pleasantly deep and fitting for the wealthy hotel owner. He adjusts for gender. His accented voices are very successful. Ronconi brings her usual, upbeat enthusiasm to the role of Alice. She also adjusts appropriately for gender, accent, and age. Both narrators don’t make a huge distinction between characters of the same gender, but their performances are entertaining.

I really enjoyed Never Been Witched, and I am super excited that Harper is creating a new series set in the same world, especially with how the book ended.
