Cat of a Different Color (Halle Pumas, #3)

3.5/5
I enjoyed this more than the first two in the series. We come into the book knowing a number of the secondary characters. We were introduced to the protagonist as well. I thought she was unique. I don't know that I have read of a protag with similar conditions in the past and I did enjoy how it was handled. There was a lot more world building in this book and I was glad to see it. We also got a greater understanding of roles in the pride. The conflict felt immediate and built throughout the entire book till the climax. I did not expect how the climax finished and that isn't a bad thing. I also liked how they set up a future book (the next?).
Recommendation: This was a fun read. It helps to have read the previous books. We have both cat shifters and werewolves in this short novel. It is an easy read with nothing overly serious confronting the reader.
