3.5 I really enjoyed Home Game and was really looking forward to this story as I love fake boyfriend tropes. I was happy that Jamie & Landry - both minor side characters in previous books - got their HEA with each other. Mostly, though, I was a bit confused by this book. I felt like there were multiple threads/motivations that never quite got resolved. For example...what happened to the whole fake boyfriend and wedding bet - first it was needed, then it was just...lapsed. I also didn't understand why Jamie, who earned so little money, didn't a) maybe try to seek an alternate career path or job or move somewhere less expensive if it was all such an issue? If his older brother was now making a big chunk of change, why was Jamie shouldering so much of his mom's financial burden? Honestly, I just didn't feel much emotion or even chemistry between Jamie and Landry either - like, zero feels here. There was a lot of misunderstanding and back and forthing between the two of them. I really just wanted more romance and emotion between Jamie & Landry (there was some emotion about the MC's external circumstances). I did like that Jamie and his mom both decided to relocate to Denver, so that they could be close to Chase. i loved the marshmallow nickname too!

I received an ARC from GRR and this is my honest review.
