For the most part of the book I thought this was going to be a 5 star read. I loved to get to know Alice better, and Collin's background was interesting abd well done. It was fun to watch them fall for and grow with each other.
The whole found family aspect was cosy as always.

But then the last third of the book happened and it felt like a letdown. The wrap up to the witchy overarcing plot of the trilogy was... contrived and unconvincing. Just too simple. But I guess the witchy stuff was only supposed to work as a backdrop for the romances, so Harper didn't put too much effort in it unfortunately.
I loved Chester, though. 😁
