Sorry for this less-than-spectacular review #sleepdeprived 🫠

Wow. This was MILES better than the first book. Everything about it was chef’s kiss, from the characters to the relationship to the plot.

But let’s start with the best thing about this book, Rhys. I thought I liked Alex, boy was I surprised with how Rhys blew him out of the water. The backstory he has... a Navy SEAL… WITH trauma… the author knew what she was doing, and I don’t hate her for it. Sure, my top favorite book boyfriends list needs to be rearranged but hey. Was he possessive of Bridget, 100% but he went about it in a way that wasn’t as caveman-y. Rhys actually had a personality other than grunting, which already made him better than Alex. He was a literal angel to Bridget. The bucket list, y’all I swooned so hard when he did that. The way he fights for Bridget was 🤭

Alright on to Bridget. I think I like her more than Ava. She just has this way about (you dear, have I known you 20 seconds or 20 years… sorry inner swiftie) her, she’s strong but also soft at the same time. She sticks up for what she believes in but still lets emotions affect her. I LOVED her banter with Rhys! I was laughing so hard!
