Warriors of the Atlantean Empire: The Ensuing War (The Prelude)

A Tease to an addiction!
Interesting start for a new series, this prelude was a tease to what's to come. Though only 50 pages long the author sets up the magical world of Atlantis and the warriors of the sea. The Merman Atargatis (King of the Sea)relationship with Crehon the human ruler over Atlantis was in the best standing, but with war accidents happen and harsh tragedies occur, some intentional and some by accident. With an ending to a war both sides lose in reality, one the loss of control and the other the loss of a love life.
The author captures the excitement of the lead up to the war along with the character's friendship. However by the end with the tragedy the readers are left with wanting more of the story. (tease to keep us coming back for more - LOL)
The character build up of the mermaids is brilliant and gives the reader a beautiful glimps into their undersea world of freedom and love - Especially how they mate and live. As far as the heat level I would say it was 2 flames out of 5 flames.
The characters on Atlantis are interesting but I didn't get a good feel for them as I did with the children of the sea but Crehon's revengeful streak has got my curiosity and I can't wait to read what unfolds for Atlantis.
Over all - great start and looking forward to the 1st edition to the "Talin's Echo (Warriors of the Atlantean Empire Series).
I recommend this for all those who love the Mer Folks and stories of Atlantis.
