First 5* of 2019.
There are so many reviews about this one that I have no idea what to write. I will just say that I regret not having read it earlier. I had it in my shortlist for about 3 years and for different reasons I kept postponing to start this dark and wonderful gothic mystery. Don't be like me! Read it now!

What a coincidence! I just reread this for the 3rd time for a book group. Of course I liked it, but it is quite dated. I've seen a couple of old films based on this book.
Thanks, Adina. I have this book on my list since long. Will have to shift it up.
About reviews, I never look up other reviews before I have written my own.
It gives you the free feeling to write sincerely what YOU thought about it.

It's also on my list for a long time. I always want to start it, but I always find something else. I'll keep your words in mine, and maybe next time I'll really pick it and read it.

Bianca wrote: "Glad to see you enjoyed it. Have you seen the movie adaptation?" Not yet but planning to.
Happy you liked it Adina. Interestingly at about 50 pages, I thought it was boring and almost gave up. Thankfully did not and loved how it progressed after that. After that made it a habit not to leave any book unfinished!
Pinaki wrote: "Kept it on TBR for too long. Reading it now. It gathers up pace slowly, I feel." yes, it a slow builder of tension
