How I feel about this book, I have no idea. At times I loved it, at times I was bored.

The beginning was great, the middle part was somewhat boring, and the last few chapters were okay. However, the fact that I’ve been reading it for sooo long says I’m not too thrilled. Therefore, I’ll settle for 2.5 stars – seems fair.

You know what’s the problem with erotica books? After a while, they all start to sound the same. Man, you have to be creative – even with sex; especially with sex, in fact, considering that the thing selling these books. I mean, I don’t want to read the same scene over and over again!

Truthfully, the most interesting part to me was the beginning and all the office drama. (Sophie works at Porteras – prestigious fashion/beauty magazine.) It was all so very Devil Wears Prada-alike.

So, to conclude, The Boss was a pretty okay book. I’ve read far worse, maybe it was just wrong time for me? I might read the sequel, I might not. We’ll see.

PS: My dear, dear GR friends please recommend me something good. I’m in such a reading slump. I haven’t read a good book in ages, it feels. I’ve been self-medicating by binge-watching Revenge, lol. Help!

Lady Vigilante (Feifei) Aww! Maybe these will get you out of your slump? I loved them both: The Hooker and the Hermit and Hero :)

☾ Dαɴιyα ☽ I've curious about this series for a while now. I've been keeping it in mind in case I get in the mood for this type of series. If that ever happens again. :)
Ah, erotica... You know lately when I get to a sex scene, I think oh, no, not again. Weird.

Aren't you gonna read the latest Fever novel?

Thanks for the recs, Feifei! xx
Hero seems interesting, hopefully it's a standalone.

The first book is free on Amazon, you can check it out when you're in the mood for these kinds of books..
I wanted first to re-read the whole series.. ;(

☾ Dαɴιyα ☽ Oh, I know. It's been free for a long time--I already have it. That's actually how I found out about the series. :)

Re-reading six books?! That's crazy talk. Read the seventh, and then you can re-read the whole thing. You know, if you're still feeling crazy. :D

Beatrix I know. :D Harry Potter is the only series that I've re-read multiple times. But - Fever might be my 2nd favorite series (after HP ofc).
It would be only 5 books, I haven't read Iced yet.:)
