I am sure this is a delightful read for any book lover. The movie version with Ann Bancroft, Anthony Perkins, and Judi Dench is in my collection, and a favorite!
OMG! I adore this movie!! Always wanted to read the book, but was disappointed last time I checked and it wasn't available on Kindle.

Do! It is such a lovely movie. Will be interested in your take of it after reading the book. I saw the movie long before I knew it was a book! Should have known--there aren't many great film stories that weren't books first!

I'm sick that my library doesn't have a copy of this. I'm debating on buying a used copy, but I've bought so many lately, and not sure when I would get to any of them! But thanks, I'm glad to know of the sequel!

I saw Rula Lenska perform this as a one woman show a number of years ago. It was entirely set in Hanff's tiny New York apartment but worked brilliantly. Very enjoyable!
