Insightful. Immediate. Inspiring. For authors who are new to selling their books, this book is a good hit. For authors--like myself--who have been around the block with marketing books ad nauseam, this book offers handy tips, clean perspectives, and nuggets of wisdom. I especially like that it wasn’t full of chapter after chapter of 10-step instructions like many of the marketing books written by “marketing experts” who repeat the stale ol’ honkings--and know nothing about being a writer. For example, Alinka’s advice on how to handle negative book reviews is the best advice I’ve read, and she said it in six sharp paragraphs. The information in this book is not just about the product and how/where to promote it; what we have here is Alinka’s personal experiences in how she sells her books in a world where the odds are against you. Who better to learn from than someone who is doing it successfully?
