I quit reading this book because although the story and the history had the potential to be interesting, I found Ackerman's style to be very dull and slow. Weaving passages from Antonina Zabinski's diary into the story somehow detracted from the plot. Ackerman's book reads more like a manual and not the fascinating story I was hoping for. Just a boring book.
