This is probably the worst book I have ever read in my life. I had low expectations at the start since Eloisa James has always been a hit-or-miss for me BUT DAMN I NEVER EXPECTED IT TO BE THIS BAD. GOD I CANT BELIEVE THIS GOT PUBLISHED. Any sane person would be offended by the characters' (especially the heroine's) offensive remarks!

So for all you sane persons out there: STEER CLEAR OF THIS BOOK. ASDGHJLFLDS

Daniella You're very welcome, Tracy! My God. I don't know how I stomached finishing this book. :( The heroine and her family were so cruel to her fiance, who had a mental condition. I seriously don't know how this got published :( This book is so bloody insensitive that it really lowered my respect for the author. Sigh.

Daniella Eloisa James is a hit or miss for me, and this one was just baaaad. :( It's probably the most insensitive book I've ever encountered so far.

Ash Eloisa James is hit or miss for me too, I liked 'When Beauty Tamed the Beast' but hated 'Duchess in Love'. Going to avoid this one

Deleted Users Haha I feel you Daniella! Count me in on the hit-or-miss group! I enjoyed the villiers book from this series and 4 nights with a duke but there was one (can't think of the title atm) that was just so,so stupid, literally so stupid that I had to take a loooong break from her writing lol

The thing about EJ is that the moment when you think that you might actually like her as a writer, you encounter a really bad book of hers that makes you think otherwise. This is how I felt when I read her Fairy Tales series.
