Double wow - I had read THIS one as well? Would wonders never cease to amaze.

Just like with #0.5 - I have absolutely no recollection of ever reading this book.
And for me that is quite something because my memory with books is, well, darn good.
But even after having read it all not to remember that - hey, I've read this before! - I'm speechless. It was so bad I actually erased it from my memory XD

SO, like I said it for #0.5:

The writing....ooookay-ish, plot...had potential.

For this sequel with same couple as in #0.5 I thought to give it a chance for maybe with more page time it will improve...well, maybe it did by 5% or so.

Now that seriously crappy mate bond/whatever was in place, it is time to test it with...that's right! A childhood friend for our hero who obviously has the hots for him but the stupid hero is oblivious to. YAY - not.

But ok, if you don't like the friend material, we've got an added suspense element of women being kidnapped.

Even though the writing was nothing to praise about, the plot had potential. It just wasn't fulfilled. Sad.

So, 2-ish stars from me for it had the male oblivious to the childhood friend obviously having the hots for him which is a minus, stupid pack members - definitely a huge minus, the kidnapping...well, seemed promising but wasn't executed to it's best...so +/-?

I'm not even mention the sex scenes. Meh.

Therefore, all in all, sadly - just like #0.5: big, fat meh for me.
Have the 2* and be grateful.



And turns out the series has a 2nd and 3rd book as well, thou no longer the same main couple...I'm no longer inclined to give those a chance. Thou the rating is considerably better for them, #0.5 & #1 have managed to make me lose any interest in the writer/series.

Bring Her Wolf/Huntsville Pack series is not one I would recommend if one wants to read a good/awesome werewolf romance.
However, if one is ok with something easy & fast which does not take up one's mind and likes werewolf romance, then this is it - you found the right series!

Also, there was this one part in the book describing a past event...they said it was not rape...but it certainly seemed like it. And if it wasn't rape, how come the married "lady" afterwards abandoned her child, huh? Just because it's not her husband's and he doesn't like it? But it was consensual! Or so they say.
So yes, that part made me veeeeery suspicious. Basically the hero's home pack has orgies due to the fact that their werewolf whatever makes them super hot blooded & horny after a run so they all have some fun afterwards. And the ensuing children have no idea who their father is. Nice.

Hero's pack have shady orgies that are supposedly consensual due to the fact they all are horny after a run and heroine's pack is full of annoying morons. What "awesome" series. No wonder I had it erased from memory.


I'm almost inclined to give this book 1* but it's not as hateful as those residing in 1* shelf.

P.S. You know those authors that are like book machines and produce several books a year? Totally feels like Michelle Fox is among them.
And while some authors produce good quality books, Fox is not among them. Mediocre at best.

Reading #0.5 and #1 really felt like it is author's first try at writing...is it? But even it if its, there are those who's first works are 100 times better, so I don't think that quite works as an excuse anymore.
