Okay so I devoured this in a day but I'm a little conflicted about how to rate it. It's more about quite a few questions I have that were left unanswered or swept under the rug too quickly. None of them have to do with "safety gang" details just questions I was waiting to be answered. So I generally enjoyed the story but I felt like something was lacking in this book compared to book #1. The first book had the perfect mix of suspense, angst, and romance where as this book fell a little flat for me.
I'm going to do a little numbered rant so be warned now that there are major spoilers. CLICK AT YOUR OWN RISK.

UPDATE: I'm very thankful that the book was safe. Maybe it's wishful thinking to think the author saw our comments and kept us mind when writing this book? There is an exception for (view spoiler)
Below is my initial reaction after having finished book #1 and everything below has been addressed above. lol.

Like I would hope it took him a very very long time to become intimate with someone again and that it wasn't Tiffany. Honestly, my dream would be that he had only bee intimate with Scarlett throughout the years and that she just assumed he had been with others. Because he was he reason they ended to begin with and why they aren't together. That would be super romantic to me lmao
Sorry rant over.
I always thought of R.K. Lilley as a safe author..wow the disappointment is just brutal.
Hopefully there is absolutely NO cheating here or else I guess another author will be added to my "no-go authors list".
Thanks for the review.
I hadn't even rated the book or reviewed THIS book when I wrote my original review. I had only commented on how I WOULD feel should certain things come to light. And now that I know it's safe for me I updated it so it doesn't dissuade others from reading it.
Apparently he never sleep with anyone since h, not even during separation. ;)
The hero even tells her he doesn't blame her because he never let her think otherwise. It's his own fault. Honestly, he could have easily told her what was going on. He was with her in private plenty of times and could have told her to pretend like she doesn't know the truth.
'Maybe it's wishful thinking to think the author saw our comments and kept us mind when writing this book?' Definitely wishful thinking
