I read your review, about how views changed a little - if I'd read this series a while ago, like back when I wasn't so fed up with generic YA bullshit, then I probably would have loved it too. I'm so much meaner with my ratings and reviews nowadays then I was back then.
I'm happy to hear that, for those people who get that far in the series. I only made it about 50% in so the chances of me making it past book 2 are slim to none.
Sounds like everything I hate in a book. Thanks for the heads-up.

My theory is that for a lot of people, this series really hits the “guilty pleasure” spot - as in, it’s not amazing quality but it still makes you feel warm and fuzzy (and entertained).
It just didn’t work on me because I hate Mary Sues, and Daemon is one. 😞
