4-1/2 stars.
Why do I keep forgetting how much I love Marina Adair's books? She blows me away every single time with sexy, swoony characters, terrific storylines, and chemistry that's off the charts. Last Kiss of Summer just might be her best yet (except Be Mine Forever because Trey Deluca).
After Kennedy's boyfriend cheats on her, Kennedy packs up and moves across the country to start over in her grandmother's hometown. She's planning to buy the bakery of one of her grandmother's friends. Luke Callahan sweeps in, intending to buy the orchard of apples that Kennedy needs to make her bakery a success.
Don't let the cheesy summary fool you--this story has substance and swoon. Kennedy and Luke have great chemistry and their banter kept me smiling through most of this book. I loved them together. I also loved the other characters in this town and can't wait to see who the next book will be about--fingers crossed that it's Hawk!
A promising start to a delicious new series, Last Kiss of Summer by Marina Adair brings swoon, sweetness, and fun.
