5 Song of My Heart Stars

Most of my interactions with people on social media are with book people. I get tons of book recommendations, want to know how many I have pending? I have over 400 books recommendations pending for me to review on Goodreads. Suffice it to say it’s hard to push a book on me.

BUT there is always that one book pusher, that basically shoves a book down your throat and you just can’t say no. Even after EVERYONE and I mean EVERYONE loves the damn book.

I’m just gonna say it, I CAN NOT BELIEVE I WAITED THIS LONG TO READ WOLFSONG?!!!!!

Who is this book for?

First you should know it’s a MM book. Now, MM is not my first pick. I wouldn’t say I dislike the genre, it’s just not the first thing I pick out when I’m looking for a book, but I read it.

You got to like paranormal, based on the cover and title, it’s a shifter book. I’m gaga over wolf books. I love the alpha, the “mine”, and all the goodness that belongs in a PNR read.

People who like to read. Yup, that’s who I recommend this book to, just the readers.

What worked for me in this book

The one thing that I loved about Wolfsong is the writing style. Gah, it’s informal, but written really well. The author knows how to set up a scene and build up characters and relationships like no other. I was sucked in within the first page.

Let’s just say my kindle told me it would take 9 hours for me to read the book and I read it in 3 days. It was a meaty book, but each chapter had a purpose.

I loved the story Simple as that. It was beautiful, magical and it took me on a journey. I was immersed into the story and I could feel the character’s passion, pain and heartache. Yes, it’s a MM story, but it’s so much more than that. It’s about two souls, two every different souls finding each other.

The cuteness and the sometimes… and I’ll say it again.. sometimes the angst The book could be adorable. Like smile on your face, I can’t stop my warm fuzzy feeling in my belly kind of cuteness. I gobbled that up like mad. Then the angst kind of balanced the light parts. There’s so many layers to this book. It’s just not light, it’s just not dramatic, it’s all those things and much more.

What’s the book about?

I didn’t even talk about it right? It’s about people. People in a pack, some wolves, some humans and some bad guys that are humans / wolves and throw a witch or two in there. But like I said, there’s so much more. There’s feelings, emotions and relationships.

Overall

Thank you book pusher for pushing this book. I felt like discovered something new, exciting and dreamy. Wolfesong was an Amazing read!
