Done!!! I LOOVED this Sherlock Holmesian historical fiction thriller set in 1890's New York city. I wanted to get it read before the TNT series starts January 22 - it looks so good! I hope they don't ruin it by making too many changes to the story or the characters. Keeping my fingers crossed - the cast is great!

If, like me, you haven't read this 1994 classic yet, I highly recommend it! Great plot, characters and a wonderful glimpse of Gilded Age New York.

Renata I'm o glad you loved it! I read it ages ago and it's still one of the more memorable, enjoyable reads. I'm going to re-read for sure.

Renata I don't know. Very conflicted and afraid they'll mess it up. I have a few weeks to decide!

PorshaJo Great review! I have been wanting to read this one for ages. I should pick it up now, during winter. I will wait for the tv series once it's on video (I can never remember when shows are on tv). Glad you loved this one!
