it was amazing

Young girls went missing & then were found later. Nicknamed the Marsh Killer, the killer was never found & the case went cold. Thirty years later, another girl was found. She'd been killed in the same manner but their were subtle differences. Was the killer back? Was it a copycat?

Zach Reynolds and Shauna O'Rourke had a fling several years ago. After they broke up, she went on to the police academy, was married & divorced, and now works in the Cold Case Department. Zach was in the military but got out to help raise his niece. He remembered the way Shauna was enthused about her career & decided to make a difference & join the force. Now they have to work together. Can they get past the breakup? Will she give him a second chance?

Lori Ryan has written another exceptional romantic suspense. The story line is well thought out & flows well. The plot moves at a quick pace with twists & turns that keep the reader enthralled. The characters are well developed & realistic. The secondary characters have hidden personality quirks or flaws that keep you guessing until the killer is unmasked. The romance took a backseat which makes sense with the subject matter. I can't wait to see what she comes up with for the next one.
