Although some people say you don’t need to read the prequel to this story, which may be true; however I highly recommend reading the prequel first. I’m on the verge of saying it’s necessary to learn how Jackson and Chloe establish their relationship. These are adult books and contain detailed sex scenes. I enjoyed reading more about these two characters and wish Michelle wrote more to their story; but in true fashion, this is a stand-alone in her series in the world of werewolves in Huntsville. I also enjoyed the serial killer plot line which added a sense of urgency to reading it. There are some unexpected twists and turns, but although some of it was predictable, she still tells it in a way that keeps your interest piqued. Thankfully there is no cliffhanger to the ending. I look forward to reading more in the series to see which stand alone story is my favorite.
