really liked it
bookshelves: almost-favorites
Read 2 times. Last read November 6, 2020.

Is it possible that I had only read the first 4 scenes and Hamlet already became one of my favorite male characters ever? YES!
Why?
He’s constantly wearing black and monologuing about how literally everything is hard and making everything more dramatic then it is, is so ME!?

And this is considered a tragedy (which in some ways it is) but I found it so funny (probably because I have a dark soul) and I will definitely reread this at any given moment of peace.

I absolutely loved this play, and I’m so happy that now I can say that I have read Shakespeare!

I’m a cultured woman now y’all. 🙌😂

maddie This is such a great cover for this play!!!

Sabrina @Madison, right? I loved it! Happy to know you thought the same.

Audrey This is my favorite Shakespeare so far.

Sabrina @Audrey, oh my!! I’m so excited to read it. I hope to enjoy it 😊

~Merrideth Hawk ~Filthy Fahrenheit Book Blog~ My favorite

Audrey You also need to see it performed. It really comes alive then.

Sabrina @~Merrideth, That makes me have so much more expectation for it 😍🙌

Sabrina @Audrey, Some day, hopefully.

Audrey I’ve seen the films starring Mel Gibson, Kenneth Brannagh, and David Tennant. Mel’s was really good.

Sabrina @Audrey, will definitely watch it.
I haven’t seen the movies yet. Will do after reading it.

Alex ✰ Comets and Comments ✰ "I’m a cultured women now y’all." DEADDDD!! *wipes tear* I may pick this up again because of this review. Glad you enjoyed, Sabrina <3 xx

Sabrina @Alex, lol 😂, that means a lot, thank you.
Is really good. Hopefully this time you’ll enjoy it more🤞

La Coccinelle I had to read this one for school in two consecutive years (first in high school, then again in university). At one point, I knew it quite well... but I can't say it's my favourite. Although, it was probably the play that showed me that Shakespeare can be accessible. I went on to read Much Ado About Nothing and The Tempest just for fun and enjoyed them both (especially Much Ado)!

My school never told us to read any good books to read, they were always boring and feel with tests after, so I guess that's what makes them bad.
Hamlet had become one of my favourite characters, he's a drama queen, what is not too like?? lol.

Literatures Movies Lmao. Literally what I was thinking when I saw that you have read this book. I was like : Holy shit. A cultured woman in the house. hahaha

So happy you enjoyed it though babe! Amazing review! xx

Sabrina @Wynne, HAAHAHA😂😂 thank you, I’m happy too.!
I always wanted to read Shakespeare so I could say that.

Audrey Why did school always assign the boring classics??

Sabrina @Audrey, I don’t know! But I wish I did. But it doesn’t matter anymore for me, I’m out of there, lol.

Audrey I’m so sad for all the people whose joy of reading was destroyed by school when it should have been the opposite.

Sabrina @Audrey, exactly!! I thought reading was awful because of school. They need to show then reading is the best thing ever, not made them read a short version of a book (that contain only the boring and unnecessary parts).
