A party has gone horribly wrong and Rainey’s friends were brutalized and killed but she survived. She couldn’t remember much of the party and the police couldn’t get too much out of her so they called Justin. He’s a psychologist (a victim advocate). She was the key to what happened in that house and how she survived, So the sessions begin…

Told mostly in dual POV, 1st person. It’s a standalone novel. I really didn’t like the story. I guessed the main twist right so early in the story and I disliked the ending. I didn’t like the h. I don’t want to be mean; I knew she had been through too much but still I couldn’t see her as a victim! I didn’t like her personality. Alternating between Past and Present, it’s a dark and angsty read. It’s not your usual romance and the sex scene was too many for my liking (If you could name them sex but I think it was inevitable considering the subject matter). Overall, it was an okay read for me (and given all the 5 stars maybe it was just me and not the book), hope you like it more than me!
