The Redhead Revealed (Redhead, #2)

I LOVED The Unidentified Redhead so much that I immediately purchased The Redhead Revealed and read it. It was still funny and sexy and all those other words I used yesterday but if The Unidentified Redhead and The Redhead Revealed were twins, The Redhead Revealed would be the more dramatic, angst causing one!
The Redhead Revealed was everything The Unidentified Redhead was and so much more! Clayton demonstrated that she can go beyond the funny banter and sexy relations in The Unidentified Redhead and make hearts lurch and tears fall. I love her depth and her ability to evoke so many emotions in one book!
Grace has relocated to New York City to rehearse for her off-Broadway production which her college crush Michael wrote. The distance between Grace and Jack combined with Grace's growing insecurities and the pressures of Hollywood are putting stress on their relationship. Grace is spending too much time in her own head thinking of all the reasons they should not be together while Jack is traveling the world promoting his new movie. They rarely see each other but they do have some HOT phone sessions!
I felt great sadness for Grace while reading this one. I knew in the first book that she was a little insecure but this book took it to another level. Grace isn't comfortable with her body or her age especially when she thinks of her super hot Hollywood boyfriend and what she thinks he deserves. I wanted to shake Grace through most of this! She has a great boyfriend who loves her and accepts her and treats her so well but she is her own worst enemy. It doesn't help that she is working with her old college crush and is completely confused about what she feels towards him. It felt like a bomb was going to go off at any moment. I waited and waited and well I am not going to tell you; you will have to read it yourself!
Jack is struggling with his fame and lack of privacy. Like Grace, I think he misses the small bubble they were in before she left for New York and his movie premiered. Now he is dealing with people telling him where to be, when to be there, who to be seen with, etc. This is not good for Jack or his relationship with Grace but Jack is handles it far better than Grace! Jack further cemented his place as possibly my top book boyfriend of all time, he is funny, sexy, loyal, British, and he loves Grace unconditionally.
I was so sad when I finished this book simply because I finished it. I wanted more, more, more! I will be anxiously waiting for book three in the Spring of 2013 and at this point I think I would even read a how to book on gardening if Alice Clayton wrote it. She has put herself up there with some of my favorite authors but she is my new all time favorite when I need a laugh!
