Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens

Oliver Twist, the young child who lived as a victim of a corrupt society and, fought hardships and endured hardships. But fate was harder in his case. And he fell into the group of terrible people who used him to achieve their evil purposes. There are full of despicable characters who will examine readers about the dark side of humanity. However, for me, this book was difficult to read. There were so many characters with lengthy descriptions. I know it's classic. But I couldn't enjoy it. I just find myself desiring it to be finished.
It is because I think so much of warm and sensitive hearts, that I would spare them from being wounded.

Plateresca Well, this is representative of Dickens, but please try 'Great Expectations' someday later, - I think you might like it way better :)

I definitely will. In fact, I'll start 'Great Expectations' this month. I have a lot of expectations from this book.🤞👍🌸🌺💕

This is so tempting me to make some kind of a spoiler-ish comment, - but spoilers are a mortal sin, of course I know that :)

So, I'll just say that if I remember correctly (and I read 'Oliver Twist' years ago, and 'Great Expectations' last year, so that's not bulletproof), the latter has more depth and humour. Hope you'll tell me what you think later on :)

oyshik Sure... Now I'm so excited about that one and I'll read it very soon. Hope I'll enjoy it.👍🤞😄💕

oyshik Alan,
We all have different opinions. No?

Sophia Shame this didn’t work you! This was my favourite Dickens read!

oyshik Sophia,
So glad you love it. I like this story. But I wish I could love this book as much as you did.

Isabel Rebelo da Silva I fell in love with the movie, and never forgot it, but never read the book. I understand that some authors like long descriptions, and I understand what you say about feeling ansious that it ends. I am going to give it a try and rad it, just because it a classic. After I will let you know what I thought. But thank you for your great review and for giving us your opinion, different from others, but valid.

oyshik Isabel,
Thank you. I hope you love this book as much as you love the movie. 🥰

And sure. Let me know what you think about this book. I will look forward to your opinion. 🌸🌺💕

Balu Muhtasin are you interested in buddy reading something in 2021, maybe February?

I've never experienced 'buddy-read' before. So, I doubt you'll enjoy buddy reading with me. If you still consider, then why not!!😊

Balu Of course I do! I think that it is cooler reading a book when you know that someone else is reading it too, so you can discuss etc.
Are you interested in reading The Witcher, ASOIAF, WoT or LOTR. Also maybe Spiderwick Chronicles?

oyshik I was thinking about Kingkiller chronicle. That’ll be my reread. What do you think?

I read The Wise Man's Fear a month ago, so I will pass that. If you are somewhen interested in something else write me a message :)

oyshik Alan,
Well, then I'm very interested in ASOIAF. 👍

I need to finish two more books this week. If you wait just one week, it would be great.
