I started reading #FREED one minute after midnight on June first. Right after amazon delivered it to my kindle. But the book was soo long that I could only read 4-10% in one sitting. Which I loved. I wanted this book to last forever. I wouldn't have minded another 500 pages. I don't know why I love Christian's thoughts so much. I know I prefer a male POV in books, but still ... I loved Ana's books too. But Christian is just ... perfect. Perfectly imperfect of course.
I loved that we got to see so many moments we missed in Ana's book. And there's even more that I wanted to hear about. I wanted to walk through London and Paris with them! I really missed that.
But there were so many amazing moments in this book.
There were also some thing I hated - like I always do in most of my 5-Star-Reads.
I hate religion in my books and there was a tiny bit too much church and praying in here. 😞
And my pet peeve when it comes to British authors with their American characters. I know it's hard to get rid of all your words and expressions, but it bothers me so much! And there have been beta-reads and proof-reads and editings done by American people with this book ... why didn't they find all those many things? I highlighted SO many British moments. Ugh.
Ever since I read the first Fifty Shades book, I keep wondering why Erika didn't just let the Greys be British?? It would've been so easy to just have them move to Seattle because of a good job for Grace or Carrick. Maybe when Christian was around 10-13 years old. That way all those British moments would've made so much more sense. Plus... Jamie's Irish wouldn't have bothered me in the movies. He does a good American accent but you hear the Irish in almost ever word/sentence. 😭

Anyway. I loved this book! I loved all the moments. The beautiful and funny and adorable moments. Christian with Elliot. Christian with Mia. Christian with Ethan. All of his moments. Just beautiful.

But I will also keep on hoping that those were not the last words/thoughts of Christian we ever get. I hope that there will be more one day.

I don't know how the following idea came into my head, but somehow I see Christian with a dog. I think he needs a dog. No idea why!? I think I need a novella where he adopts a dog - a dog that loves him best. That would be so adorable!
