Oh man, I thought this was going to be a super quick daddy kink story but it ended up being so much more.

Rufus... I didn’t like him at first. He’s the owner of the theater where Abby is a dancer and he seems like a jerk at first. He yells at her, then he has her come to his office after hours and spanks her with no warning whatsoever. Then the next time he drags her into his office by her hair (the book literally describes him doing that) and whips her with a belt while her hands are tied behind her back with a rope. No explanation and she had no clue about the lifestyle before he did this to her. Kinda put me off, honestly, even if she said her body enjoyed it. I still feel like she should’ve been warned beforehand or at least consented before he did some shit like that.

Finally when he took her to dinner, somewhat explained things to her and she agreed that he’d be her Daddy, I felt relieved. And then he started being sweet to her after that. No crazy spanking or belts. Go figure.

After all the drama with Abby’s parents and her withdrawing from Rufus, I seriously felt my heart break. Mostly for Rufus. Shiiiit, now I’m feeling bad for the dude that I just hated early in the book. Hah. But really, I literally had tears.

I absolutely loved that they had a happy ending.

I did enjoy this book but the beginning wasn’t really to my tastes. I prefer a sweet daddy and even though Rufus was in the end, I just would’ve personally preferred the sweetness through the whole book. But hey, that’s just me. Still worth the read.
