"A Very versatile product analytics application"
What do you like best about Mixpanel?

With this platform, you can monitor events from your application or product almost in real time as users interact with it. The reporting features are robust, and the data visualization tools are highly effective. Pretty easy to use. One of the standout benefits is the ability to create funnels, enabling you to track user engagement and other important metrics as people use your application. Additionally, you can manage multiple servers there and attach properties to events, which helps you analyze how events with specific properties perform throughout the entire flow. Also I had faced a problem with some events not showing up the customer support helped me and resolved my issue quickly after I mailed them. I sometimes use it more than twice a week. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mixpanel?

For someone new to Mixpanel, it can be a bit complicated to use at first. The platform offers a wide range of features, which may feel overwhelming. I also think there should be more support documents and materials available to help users learn more quickly. Additionally, it can be quite expensive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Robust Product Analytics Solution"
What do you like best about Mixpanel?

I love how easy it is to stratify data in Mixpanel. It feels like the platform was built for people who want to quickly slice, filter, and compare without needing a dedicated analyst. The UI makes it simple to drill down into different cohorts or behaviors, and I can get from a big-picture view to granular insights in just a few clicks.

What stands out most is how flexible the tool is—you can track user flows, retention curves, and funnels, all while customizing reports to answer the exact question you’re trying to solve. It’s powerful without being overwhelming.

For me, Mixpanel has become less of a “reporting tool” and more of a daily decision-making companion. It helps me validate assumptions, spot friction points, and actually act on data rather than just collecting it.

If I had one critique, it would be that the learning curve for advanced features is a little steeper—but the payoff is worth it once you get comfortable.

Overall, Mixpanel makes it easy to transform raw numbers into clear stories that drive product and business strategy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mixpanel?

What I dislike about Mixpanel is that while the core experience is smooth, some of the deeper features feel harder to unlock without a fair amount of trial and error. The learning curve can be steep when you want to go beyond the basics, and sometimes I spend more time figuring out the right query structure than actually analyzing the results.

I’ve also noticed that navigating between reports can feel a little clunky—you can build powerful dashboards, but drilling into specific details sometimes takes more clicks than it should. And while the platform is great at visualizing trends, exporting or sharing those insights with stakeholders who don’t use Mixpanel isn’t always as seamless as I’d like.

Lastly, the pricing tiers can make it tough to scale—once you cross into higher usage, the costs add up quickly, which makes you second-guess how much data you’re sending in. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"There's no modern product management without Mixpanel"
What do you like best about Mixpanel?

I’ve been using Mixpanel throughout my entire career in product management (6+ years), and to me, data-driven product management equals Mixpanel.

Without it, I wouldn’t be able to confidently ship serious features - nor truly understand what’s happening in production. I rely on Mixpanel to gather user feedback, monitor overall product health, identify patterns, debug stuff, and recruit users for qualitative research.

I use it almost every day. It’s intuitive, easy to use, and clearly built by people who understand what product managers and researchers need.

I’ve implemented Mixpanel across two companies, four products, and several side projects and I plan to continue championing it in future roles as well.

Also, the recent redesign was excellent - cleaner, faster, and a real step forward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mixpanel?

Honestly, not much. I’ve tried multiple other product analytics tools (Amplitude, Smartlook, Heap, Pendo, etc.), and Mixpanel consistently comes out on top.

The only improvement I’d love to see is a smoother way to view and track sequences of events in a user’s activity feed. Right now, it can feel a bit clunky to open each event one by one just to check properties and piece together context. Having a more streamlined timeline view would make this process much easier, but I don't have a ready solution in mind. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Six years in and it's become part of my standard dev workflow"
What do you like best about Mixpanel?

After six years using Mixpanel across everything from side projects to enterprise apps, what keeps me coming back is how effortless the integration is. You're literally up and running with a few lines of code - no complex setup, no wrestling with documentation for hours. The interface strikes this perfect balance where non-technical teammates can dig into the data without getting lost, but I can still build complex funnels and cohort analyses when needed. It's become such a standard part of my workflow that setting up Mixpanel is now on my new project checklist right alongside initializing git. That kind of seamless adoption is rare in analytics tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mixpanel?

Honestly, their advanced use case documentation could be better. Sometimes I end up figuring things out through trial and error instead of clear examples. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"My Daily Dashboard for Product Insights"
What do you like best about Mixpanel?

Mixpanel is like my daily newspaper for product usage updates. It’s incredibly easy to implement, and creating boards and reports takes just minutes. The UI feels intuitive, and I can quickly explore any data point or statistic without friction. Exporting data works seamlessly, which makes it easy to share insights across teams. The funnel analysis features make it simple to uncover user behavior patterns, and the dashboards are customizable enough to fit both quick checks and deep dives. I haven’t interacted with their support team very often, but the few times I did (two or three times), they were responsive and helpful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Good Analytics"
What do you like best about Mixpanel?

Mixpanel makes it incredibly easy to dive deep into user behavior without needing a data science degree. The event-based tracking is powerful yet intuitive, and the way you can slice data into cohorts, funnels, and retention curves is unmatched. I especially love how quickly I can answer product questions like “Where are users dropping off in onboarding?” or “Which features keep people coming back?” without waiting on engineering. The dashboards are interactive and beautiful, making it simple to share insights with stakeholders and align teams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mixpanel?

The learning curve can be a bit steep for first-time users—especially setting up clean event tracking. You need to invest in a solid taxonomy upfront; otherwise, reports can get messy. The pricing also scales up quickly as your data grows. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent Analytics and User Behavior Platform - Highly Recommend"
What do you like best about Mixpanel?

Mixpanel has perfected their user interface, it is such a joy to use and very powerful with advanced features. The dashboards are clean and easy to use, even for team members who aren't data analysts. We use it every day.

Setting up custom events is straightforward and data is ingested in real-time which is great for rapid prototyping

Mixpanel also performes reliably with fast loading times and accurate data reporting

Mixpanel is also very easy to integrate, offering a few options that can fit any bussiness or tech stack Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mixpanel?

Managing A/B tests using Mixpanel's own tools isn't very straightforward or very affordable. We ended up using our own in-house solution, which makes calculating winning variants a bit cumbersome, requiring more careful attention to statistical significance and data validation.

In addition, while the basic functionality is intuitive, some advanced features require time to master and learn. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy to setup, easy to use and platform being constantly expanded"
What do you like best about Mixpanel?

Two things stood out with Mixpanel for us - how easy it was to set up and start sending events from our application into it. And then how good the web ui tools were and how easy it was to build dashboards and graphs. We now use Mixpanel across our organization as our primary analytics platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mixpanel?

Not too much to dislike. I've used a wide variety of other web and app analytics tools before, Mixpanel is my favorite. One complaint - wish there was an easier way to export and email entire dashboards on a regular basis. There have been more frequent event ingestion delays in 2025. "Amazing Analytics for Product Teams"
What do you like best about Mixpanel?

We use Mixpanel daily to look at metrics, analyze performance, and ask our data questions. I can't imagine running a software product without a system like this. It's made a world of difference for our team because it allows us to make accurate data informed decisions. We also took the time to design our data model early on and that has made a positive difference.

Additionally, any time we need help their support team has been amazing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mixpanel?

Initially we had to put a lot of thought into our data model and implementation. Doing so paid off and helped us lean the system. While it's powerful it also takes some getting used to before team members become self sufficient in designing their own insight reports. The downside is the time investment but in the end it's totally worth it.

Another issue we ran into was profile aliases. This can get tricky and we ended up with some inconsistency issues. Their support helped us and in the end we had to change how our integration was setup. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A must use for every SaaS product"
What do you like best about Mixpanel?

Powerful reporting: funnels, retention, and cohorts make trends obvious fast.

Flow analysis clearly maps real user journeys and drop-off points.

Easy to segment by plan, platform, geo, and release - great for A/B reads.

Easy to understand dashboards for non-tech/ exec audience.

Alerts keep stakeholders aligned on key metrics.

Helps us map user stories end-to-end and tie them to activation/churn. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Mixpanel?

Queries on very large date ranges can feel a bit slow during peak hours. That's it! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
