Cucumber's gherkin syntax is very similar to normal English, thereby greatly pushing down the learning curve for new users. It also has great integration support on common IDEs like VS Code, IntelliJ, making it very easy to connect the cucumber syntax to the underlying protractor/Javascript/selenium logic.
