What do you like best about Everhour?

"Simple, elegant, and powerful"

What do you like best about Everhour?

My team uses EverHour for a few reasons:

1) It has a simple, intuitive interface

2) It has a powerful reporting engine that we now use for generating various insights, including employee time analyses and customer invoices

3) It comes with solid integrations with task management software (we use ClickUp in particular).

4) Per-user costs are low, which is essential for us as we have many part-time employees, some of whom only work a few hours per week. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Everhour?

The most significant limitation of EverHour is the inability to categorize hours within an individual task.

We use EverHour to track the time we spend working on tasks logged in ClickUp, our task management system. EverHour has a wonderful ability to categorize time by the attributes of tasks - for example, we can filter hours in EverHour based on tags attached to their associated tasks in ClickUp.

However, if we have a single task in ClickUp - say, "Build Feature X" - we can't say, "I tracked 6 hours toward this, 2 of which were management (non-billable), 2 were development (billable), etc." To get around that limitation, we create additional tasks to represent different work units on a larger project, but this can get tedious. Hi Aaron, thanks for leaving this review! I totally agree that splitting a task into many subtasks can be tedious, but creating an infrastructure of task entries can become tedious too, and even make things more complicated. This is why we put any further development in that direction on hold.

What do you like best about Everhour?

Easy to keep track of team's hours and project hours.

It Syncs seamlessly with Asana with its extension.

Data can be easily exported through APIs for further analytics.

Easy to use interface and excellent Chrome extension to log hours easily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Everhour?

There is a lack of theming and dark mode.

It doesn't have a native app for Android or iOS.

The inbuilt default reports are not very insightful. Creating reports can be a bit cumbersome. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great integrations and even better customer service"

What do you like best about Everhour?

The application is responsive and provides the right level of functionality for small dev shops with billable hours to pass on to clients. The integrations with billing and accounting software reduce admin overhead considerably. The pièce de ré·sis·tance is EverHour's customer service. I desperately needed an improvement in the template engine for invoices. I asked customer support for the enhancement. Support said they would discuss the request with engineering. Engineering accepted the suggestion and added it to their road map. About 2 months later, support contacted me to inform me the feature was in production and invited me to try it. The feature worked perfectly.

I am a TINY customer and EverHour treated me like their biggest. I feel like my problems are their problems, and no one could ask for more in a vendor. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Everhour?

I wish it could import timesheets directly from Jira's native time tracking. Currently, time tracking in Jira requires a browser plugin for each person recording their time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Everhour:

No software is perfect. This applies to EverHour. However, I do feel like they will work with me to improve the software and remove any sharp edges I consistently scrape. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
