The recommendations feel genuinely helpful instead of pushy, which is rare. When someone searches for ‘fragrance-free curl cream’ or ‘niacinamide serum,’ it recognizes claims, synonyms, and even common misspellings, and shows results that actually make sense. Since rolling it out, we’ve seen fewer abandoned searches and far fewer ‘I can’t find it’ support tickets.

The synonym dashboard is especially helpful. When searching for terms like ‘Vitamin B3’, relevant matches such as ‘niacinamide’ are easy to apply, and the impact is visible right away. It also surfaces top queries that help identify gaps in our catalog. What I like most is how it handles natural variations in how customers search. Whether they search by ingredient, benefit, or a mix of both, they still land on the right options.

We started by rolling out only the search, kept the front end as it was. Within weeks, relevancy improved noticeably without us spending hours writing complex rules.
