One aspect I find challenging about GoAnywhere MFT is that the initial setup and configuration process can be quite complicated, especially for those who are new to the platform. Although the interface offers robust features, it often appears outdated and is less user-friendly than more modern solutions. The licensing fees can also be a significant burden for smaller organizations. Furthermore, resolving some integration issues may demand advanced technical knowledge or assistance from the vendor. We implemented GoAnywhere MFT as our file transfer solution to manage both external vendor communications and various internal processes. Because of our transfer requirements, we handle several thousand incoming PDF files each day, and GoAnywhere offered a straightforward way to ensure all these files are directed to the correct locations for our business operations. For more routine tasks, creating jobs is simple, and the auditing features give us clear visibility into the activity on our transfer server at any time. We also chose to deploy the MFT server and gateway to facilite external connections through a static IP provided by Azure allowing for high avallavbility accros our data centers. In the past year, we had one support incident during a upgrade that the GoAnywhere team was able to quickly resolve over the phone and get our environment work. One area that we would like to see an additional feature is the ability to browse a partner SFTP server when testing. Luckily due to feature set of GoAnywhere, I've created a job that emails the directory listing or contents of a server so we can review and determine what connections we need to make. I use a very small piece in GoAnywhere (Resources & Workflows for SFTP Transfers), but there is so much available that the options are unlimited. We now have files transferring hourly, daily, & weekly to our cloud environment. I appreciate everything available including scheduling, monitors, reports, and notifications. I am not a programmer and worked with our system engineer to set up our transfers and he was also new to GoAnywhere. When he got stuck, GoAnywhere Support provided the answers and after much trial and error, we finally got everything working. I did finally get training, but it was too high level. Instead, it would be nice to receive detailed training on setting up different Resources & Projects with all the options before we started using the product. I do really prefer it for its robust security and seamless integration with our current work system.

The feature which I like most about it are its strong and ease API integration support and automation capabilities within development workflows.

We used GoAnywhere MFT mainly for moving files from different on-prem healthcare systems to Azure for our cloud data platform.

We used it to pull files from systems like SAP and other EHR/EMR sources and then move those to Azure Blob and mount in Databricks
