What do you dislike about Google Workspace?
1. The starting plan costs $8.40 USD  a month per user. While the average market price is around $1–3, Google charges to 8 times more than its competitors.
2. There's no separate pricing tier for parked email addresses. We don't use the entire Google Workspace ecosystem; however, we're forced to pay for the whole package.
3. There's no support for shared mailboxes. For system addresses like info, support, billing, dmarc, admin, no-reply, etc., you have to create separate accounts and pay full price for each.
4. The interface is overly complex and confusing, making it nearly impossible to set up a system email address like no-reply. To do this, you have to read through documentation and hire system administrators familiar with Google Console. Even for professionals, this task is challenging due to bugs and strange limitations when creating such accounts.
5. The default font size in emails is 8px. Who is this even designed for? Most websites have long since switched to 16–18px for readability.
6. The biggest issue for me is that every new email address we create ends up in spam automatically. We configure SPF, DMARC, DKIM — and still, all messages go to spam. It would be one thing if external providers marked them as spam, but even Gmail marks emails from its own paying clients as spam.
7. Want something even more absurd? Gmail sends internal corporate emails to spam too. If I create two accounts and send an email from one to the other — it lands in spam.
8. The pricing depends on the country in which the card was issued. However, after changing the card, the pricing is no longer tied to the original country.
9. When I first created my account, I was in Vietnam, and the interface was displayed in Vietnamese. I immediately switched it to English, but system emails are still being sent in Vietnamese.
10. Another thing that really surprised me was their aggressive marketing policy. When creating an account, they don't respect your choices. They ask how many employees your company has, and based on your answer, they automatically assign a plan. For example, if you say more than 50, you'll be placed on the highest-tier plan.
Switching to a different plan requires searching online for instructions. If you forget to switch in time, your first invoice could be for thousands of dollars. It's quite obvious this is done intentionally.
11. There's no way to embed a calendar on a website without showing the Google logo — it's always included by default.
12. Google Drive hasn't evolved in years. It doesn’t support column resizing or convenient navigation. To see a file name, you have to hover over it. There're no filters or advanced sorting options.
