I would like some more robust reporting. For instance I would love to be able to do budget to actual tracking with Harvest and Harvest Forecast. The convenient reporting features and simple interface are what I love about Harvest. The timer window allows me to easily monitor my expenses, track work progress on multiple projects at once, and view inspirational quotes each day. It is easy to start the timer or select a project from a window, as all the important data is clearly displayed in a neat structure. With the time summary feature, I can quickly review how many hours were spent per day, week, or month without ever leaving my desk, thanks to Harvest's desktop application. I find the process of finding projects to be one of the most frustrating aspects of Harvest. With over fifty projects active at any given time, it can take the same amount of time to type keywords into the search bar to find what I'm looking for without having to manually scroll through all the open projects. Harvest stopwatch is easily integrated into my browser or project management software such as Basecamp and Google Chrome. I also appreciate the ability to get organized reports by team and project, which helps us keep track of resource utilization across our projects. Without this functionality, it is much more difficult for us to determine if we are providing the optimal amount of resources needed without either under- or over-servicing our clients - something that is critical to maintaining the trust of the companies that use our services. In general, I am quite happy with Harvest. However, one feature that could be improved is the monthly view feature on both the desktop and iOS versions; currently it cannot display past days or weeks, which can make managing larger time frames unnecessarily complex for me. There is one advantage to the desktop version in terms of visibility: it occupies much less space compared to its iOS counterpart, leaving more space for the actual work. Harvest is the first system I have used that I have had minimal quesitons from the team. The analytics, UI and invoicing function has saved our team days every month in reporting and invoicing. My only wish for Harvest was that I wish I could add different currencies on certain projjects. I have to make a note that something is in Euros for example.
