Paychex makes it easy for me to clock in and out of my virtual education job. It is a requirement that I implement it when I am working any of my shifts. I use it daily, as I work every single day (even though only part-time). It seems to have the right amount of features, and I'm not sure if it would need more. It has been very easy to integrate into my regular routine. Typically, when there is an issue, I either reach out to my HR or they reach out to me. Paychex has a tendency to fail to accurately record clock-ins or outs on random days. This results in my HR contacting me to clarify what time I finished my shift, despite the fact that I did, indeed, complete the task. During the Covid 19 pandemic, Paychex kept up with the new laws and helped my company stay aflote. They helped with PPP funding sources that would actually work with our compnay. They also held webinars where they explained how we could use both ERC and PPP funds together. They were able to help keep my company alive.

They have expertise in so many areas, but it always feels that when they want to educate you, they are only doing it to sell you a new product, rather than doing it because you are a current client. - same as my last review.

The payroll is emailed over to a POOL so I do not always get my payroll specialist doing our payroll. I want a relationship with the dedicated payroll specialist. The delivery process is not user friendly for those who work shorter hours (5-3) Agricultural business. we pay the larger fee to get it guaranteed by 10 AM. Paychex takes a lot of the stress out of managing payroll and HR tasks. It’s convenient, reliable, and helps us stay on top of things like tax filings, employee onboarding, and time tracking. Paychex provides a user-friendly website for payroll entry. Additionally, the process of adding new employees to the system is straightforward. They manage our tax filings and reporting, facilitate direct deposits for employees, and provide employee benefits beyond what the employer offers.

The software is available online, eliminating the need for downloads and installations, which simplifies the implementation process. They also feature a chat option for customer support, allowing for immediate assistance rather than waiting for an email response. We utilize Paychex for bi-weekly payroll processing, obtaining our W-2 forms and payroll reports. The entire setup process was seamless and easily integrated into our existing procedures. The only thing I dislike about Paychex is it is kind of pricey. And for questions they cannot answer through the chat feature requires an email response which can take 24 hours for a response. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Paychex flex helps me manage my finances and retirement plan. They offer so many great tools that help me achieve my financial goals. Budgeting tools and financial coaching have been a great help. What i liked best about Paychex is the HR services. The HR specialist build a relationship with the client, and meet with them once a month. In the initial meeting they discuss the clients greatest needs and prioritize those areas of HR. Then during the monthly meetings dicuss how they can resolve the areas of HR. Best practices are discussed, and HR white sheets are provided; or they may even introduce you to a specialist who will assist with resolving the issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The tug of war, to say, during implementation between managment; our policies and the amount of work they needed to provide during implementation. Even to the point of trying to send us to another less productive area of the organization. In essence telling us that they did not want to work with us. The reporting and GL mapping capabilities were superior to our current payroll vendor. I used Paychex weekly to run our company payroll for both our salaried and hourly employees. The interface was intuitive and easy to use. Setting up the GL Mappings and integrating with our accounting software did take some testing but ended up working out fabulously. The customer support was severely lacking. Our dedicated account representative was OOO anytime we called for help over a 2.5 month timespan. There was also a huge disconnect between the issues we were having and being able to locate someone within Paychex that could actually help us. Most times I called in for assistance or clarification, I was transferred no less than 4 times before getting to a representative that could assist with the reason I'd been calling. Extremely expensive; more than double the cost of other payroll service because they billed every pay period instead of every month. Outdated, bloated website where it was impossible to ever find what I needed, despite having zillions of options. The 401(k) management was the worst aspect; most difficult to deal with and hardest to switch. Paychex was expensive, not pleasant to use, and onerous to leave. While Paychex is utilized in greater detail by HR, I have had the opportunity to utilize other aspects beyond just PTO management and requests. It allows for easy access to pay data, including quick locate/print of W2s or paystubs, retirement contribution history, tax reporting. After further use, the appearance is streamlined but sufficient for what is being utilized in my role in my organization. As noted, HR utilizes Paychex moreso than I do in a management role, so there may still be opportunity to improve the look and functionality.
