What do you like best about Pendo?

The customer support team stands out as one of the best — they are prompt, patient, and consistently provide clear guidance whenever issues arise or clarification is needed.

Integration with Pendo was straightforward, especially for embedding product analytics and in-app guidance. While there’s a slight learning curve for new users, the platform becomes intuitive over time, and the setup process is largely self-serve after the initial stages.

One of the strongest features is the ability to create in-app guides and run NPS surveys without needing code deployments.

What do you dislike about Pendo?

The platform currently lacks robust in-app filtering and sorting options. This makes it harder to drill down into specific user segments or behaviors directly within the interface, adding friction to analysis workflows.

There’s no native feature to identify users who have opted out of NPS surveys. This limits visibility into survey engagement gaps and makes it difficult to understand the full response context.

Pendo does not automatically exclude or manage decommissioned accounts, which can lead to inflated or misleading user data unless handled manually. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Pendo?

I really appreciate being able to combine data analytics with customer in-app engagement, all through a no-code solution. This integration makes it much easier for me to manage both aspects without needing to write any code. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Pendo?

To track features, you need to manually tag them. While this isn't difficult, it does add an extra step whenever you release something new. That said, Pendo has improved significantly and now makes tagging much easier with its tagging suggestions, which I find myself using quite often. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Pendo?

Simple and easy to use analytics with great integration options allow us to get the data we need to make decisions.

Technical account management is a must. It costs you a little more but multiplies the value you get from Pendo. Our Technical Account Manager has become a core part of our team helping us to get the data we need, configure Pendo in the right way (which is an important consideration) and onboard new team members.

Guides. Pendo allows you to augment your users experience of your product by presenting targeted help, information and requests for information. Guides have helped us make a positive change in our users' experience.

Pendo Listen has become a real help to our team and the investment Pendo are making to give you a real 360 view of your users is really appreciated.

What do you dislike about Pendo?

There are some inconsistencies in the User Interface. Different parts of Pendo have slightly different controls and ways of doing things. This inconsistency can make onboarding harder, especially for less tech-savvy teams, than it needs to be. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Pendo?

From client side event tracking to notifications. From the resource center to pin point survey segmentation all built into one product.

What do you dislike about Pendo?

I like to be able to exclude sites based on account attributes. So we could send in an attribute of say internal = true and the have them excluded from customer data. The exclusion how we have it set-up for internal production sites could be improved upon Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Pendo?

I'm a heavy user of Guides, and the launch of embedded guides has been a game changer as well. Overall a great product that has helped us at Beekeeper with our Product Led growth efforts, and scaling certain initiatives quickly in an almost self-serve process without the dependence of engineering/product deployment. Once you master using the custom code block, anything is possible. And if you're looking to support, onboard, engage with your customers the Pendo Resource Center is a very versatile product, which now enables multiple teams across our org to recruit, support, and engage with our customers directly. What do you dislike about Pendo?

The lack of A/B testing out of the box for guides is currently one of the drawbacks, however I know that this is currently in Beta testing, and eager to get my hands on it. The verdict isn't out yet if this will work well for us, as we don't currently use Pendo as our main analytics tool. What do you like best about Pendo?

From a sales point of view, being able to identify clients that are undeniably getting huge value out of our product has been incredible. My outreach activity is more successful and being able to guide people using their live data on how they can get even more out of the product with additional modules feels more like I'm giving them friendly advice rather than upsetting.

Getting started was very easy because we had an internal champion and the benefits were obvious and since first being introduced it's become a standard part of my tool bag. Every time I speak to a client, I open up Pendo. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Pendo?

Being able to generate reports in our branding rather than Pendo's would make creating usage reports a lot faster and mean I could offer what feels like a bespoke account management service in seconds rather than spending an hour.

Funnel reports are exceptionally powerful to highlight efficiency to our clients. Unfortunately, they show every client so I have to be really careful how I share the info. Being able to anonymize all but 1 firm to show comparisons would be the ideal but I appreciate this might be my lack of knowledge rather than a gap in the product. What do you like best about Pendo?

Pendo.io makes it very to understand how our users interact with our product. I like how it provides clear product analytics and user behaviour insight without needing extra development effort. The in-app guides and walkthrought are especially useful for onboarding new users and introduction features. What do you dislike about Pendo?

Sometimes the dashboard take a bit of time to load when are analyzing large sets of data. The initial setup required some guidance, and I felt the learning curve was slightly steep for advanced features. It would also be helpful if there were more customization options for reports. What do you like best about Pendo?

Once you learn how to use the platform, it's the most useful tool with some amazing features like guides, Visitors and accounts insights. Its helps to track the customer interest and also great for collecting the customer feedback like NPS, the data is always accurate and reliable. What do you dislike about Pendo?

What do you like best about Pendo?

Pendo used to be a leader in the space so has been around for a while and has (what I think) is a decent installed base and supporting resources. In app messaging/surveys are good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Pendo?

While certain capabilities/functionality may be there, the presentation/interface is old (think Salesforce, even Lightning). Pendo is not simple to set up and configure; dedicated resources are needed to setup/manage.

Most importantly, Pendo is not a great solution for a company (e.g. like a Series A) that is rapidly evolving and requires flexibility. Their pricing/licensing model is inflexible and old school. E.g. as of this writing when you go to their pricing page you get a "request pricing" button instead actual information. Similarly, when my company wanted to transition off Pendo and asked for a 1-2 months extra time to facilitate, I was told that they only do 1 year contracts. Only after repeated escalations was I begrudgingly given option for a 3 month term. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Pendo?

I find Pendo's features for creating onboarding guides useful when launching new features. The tool is helpful for setting up polls or survey guides to gather user feedback and recruit participants for product discovery, which is valuable in enhancing user engagement and understanding customer needs. Additionally, I sometimes use it for quick front-end data tracking tasks for simple activities like button clicks and page visits, which aids in monitoring basic interactions within the application. What do you dislike about Pendo?

I find Pendo's analytics and reporting capabilities very lacking. It is frustrating that it often boils down to just a few standard reports, which are clunky and inflexible to set up. I don't feel like I'm generating any deep insights with Pendo, the analytics seem overly shallow, no comparison to best-in-class tools like Amplitude. Also, setting up the Pendo Visual designer for guides is quite buggy, and it's a constant struggle to get basic work done. Product innovation is slow and the tool is too expensive for what it solves for us. We will switch to Amplitude now, where we get way more value for our money.
